CarinaE Prestige 2008
This rare wine is a perfect reflection of Carinae’s terroir. It is a harmonic convergence of Malbec, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah, each picked at optimal ripeness and mainly aged for 18 months in new French barrels. Inky, richly and fruity with notes of chocolate and caramel, this wine is an expression of the finest wines of Argentina.
Grape origin: Perdriel (Malbec), Cruz de Piedra (Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon). Selection of the best Malbec wines from the 2008 CarinaE production.
Vineyards: espaliers (Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon) and pergola (Syrah). Traditional cultivation and irrigated by flooding.
Variety: Assemblage 2008: 70% Malbec, 25% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 5% Syrah.
Yield: less than 70 quintals per hectare.
Type: Elaborated with well-ripen grapes harvested in 18 kg boxes, fermented at 25-27º C, prolonged maceration of 4 weeks. Heightened in new French barrels during 18 months.
